i-MTA SP Bioceramic Root Canal Filling Material is a water-curable, injectable osteogenic powder engineered through advanced nano-suspension technology. It delivers exceptional bioactivity and biocompatibility, curing without shrinkage while exhibiting high flexural strength. Its dentin-mimetic structure enables seamless adaptation to tooth dentin, forming a long-lasting hermetic seal to prevent reinfection. Ultimately, it integrates with the dental structure, restores natural tooth strength for optimal masticatory function, and achieves clinically proven long-term therapeutic outcomes, with radiopaque properties facilitating post-operative evaluation.


Indications:
1. Permanent obturation of the root canal following vital pulp-extirpation.
2. Permanent obturation of the root canal following removal of infected or necrotic pulp and placement of intracanal dressings.
3. i-MTA SP is suitable for use in the single cone and placement of intracanal dressings.

i-MTA SP Setting State
Setting Time: 16-18 hours in vitro, with continuous strength increase and slight volumetric expansion over time.
Properties: Non-absorbable, exhibits minimal microleakage, excellent sealing properties, and a very low rate of reinfection.

Instructions for Use:

1. Prepare and irrigate the root canal using standard root canal therapy procedures.
2. Remove the irrigator cap, screw on the compatible dental applicator tip, insert the tip to the apex of the root canal, and inject the material continuously and slowly while steadily withdrawing the tip. Ensure dense filling by avoiding bubble formation and overfilling. Finally, remove excess material with a moist cotton pellet.
3. Verify apical seal integrity with a radiograph. If an adequate seal is not achieved, flush the material from the canal and repeat step 2.
4. Place gutta-percha points or thermoplasticized gutta-percha using routine filling methods.
5. Avoid applying excessive force during material injection to prevent patient discomfort.
6. Due to its excellent flowability, minor overfilling may occur. When using direct injection, apply gentle pressure to avoid excessive overfilling.
7. When inserting the master cone, perform slow and gentle motions. Repeatedly move it up and down 3-4 times to express sealing material into irregular areas.
