Description:
Calcium hydroxide root canal disinfectant paste is used for disinfection of root canals in the oral cavity. Calcium hydroxide is slightly soluble in water and highly alkaline, and can partially dissociate into calcium ions and hydroxide ions. Therefore, most pathogenic bacteria in root canals cannot survive in the highly alkaline environment created by calcium hydroxide. Bacteria in infected root canals are eliminated within a short time after direct contact with calcium hydroxide.
